Slovakia had over 5 million tourists in 2016. A record number achieved.

A record number of tourists visited Slovakia last year, Over 5 million for the first time in the country’s history.

“We need to keep up the momentum, continue to promote our country effectively and continue to improve the level of provided services. Every happy visitor will want to come back to Slovakia,” added Ersek.

The highest numbers were Czech tourists, followed by Poles, Germans, Hungarians and Austrians.
